NCSC was built for the Commonwealth Games in 2002 and is a world-class shooting ground! The instantly recognisable skyline of white canopies cover a line of superb shooting layouts, equipped with over 90 clay release machines catering for shooters of all abilities.

Who is this event for? 👩

This Tuition Day is for women and those who identify as women.

Age: This event is for 12 years old and over! If you would like to bring children and young people with you, this is absolutely fine as long as they can be sensible in an environment where shooting is taking place. Please let us know if you are intending to bring children with you so we can give the shooting ground prior notice!

Ability: This event is for all abilities, where you have never picked up a gun before, through to experienced shots who are looking to improve their technique and eradicate any bad habits!

Accessible: This event is accessible and suitable for people with disabilities, including wheelchair users!


Itinerary ⏰

9.30am: Arrival at the ground and refreshments including tea, coffee and pastries.

10.00am: Briefing, introduction to your instructors, shooting commences for 25 clays.

11.00am: Return to the clubhouse for refreshments.

11.30am: Head back out to the range for final 25 clays.

12.30pm: Return to clubhouse for refreshments and debrief.

1.00pm: Depart at your own leisure.

Shooting:

  • Beginner, Intermediates and Experienced: 50 clays, cartridges, gun hire, instructor, all necessary protective gear.

Everyone:

  • Refreshments including pastries upon arrival.

What to wear 🌦️

As much as we are hoping to have beautiful weather on the day, please make sure you’re prepared for typical Great British weather!

Make sure you’re comfortable and that you will be warm enough throughout the day. A warm, waterproof coat is always a good idea to have in the car!

Footwear, please make sure you’re wearing practical footwear, shooting grounds can be muddy and uneven. Please do not wear high heels or flip flops, you won’t be allowed to shoot for insurance purposes!
